Our Nutwood comes exclusively from America. Nutwood with sapwood inclusions is available as solid wood or veneer. Veneer pattern: board character. What makes this wood so special is the combination of the contrasting coloring and grains of heartwood and sapwood, both taken from the active, outer zone of a tree. The combination of these creates a beautiful and lively wood finish, so characteristic to nutwood. To preserve the natural character and achieve the brown color tone, the nutwood is treated with an equalising stain.  This process homogenises the color nuances of the raw material and tones down the vivid sapwood inclusions.
